The sorry fate of the Least Developed Countries is an account of a world divided between unequal nations. It tells a stroy of plans without implementation, of prmises without money, of short lives media attention and long term neglect, but most fo all, it shows our lack of responsibility in providing minimum standards of living to our fellow man.
The UN, as its name suggests, is supposed to care for the world on a global basis. Apart from preventing states from destroying each other it is also, on the more positives side, supposed to cater to basic social, economic, and political needs. In the beginning of the seventies the New International Economis Order demanded far- raching changes inthe distribution of wealth in the world.
